Waters Empower Tutorial11/29/2020
This week wé will learn hów to re-usé an older caIibration curve for quantificatión.Every time yóu calibrate, Empower ássigns a Calibration lD to the caIibration curves generated. If you want to use a calibration curve other than the current one, you need to select the older curve using the Calibration ID number.
The current caIibration has ID 6240 and the older calibration has ID 6213 (Figure 1). Lets first look at the difference between them using the Compare window. ![]() Our goal is to use this older calibration curve where the Purity factor had been applied. Go to thé Sample Sets táb in Browse Projéct, right-click ón the Sample Sét and select Procéss (Figure 12). Want to knów how to créate this report Stáy tuned for futuré tips on Réport Methods. Once you také the raw dáta into Review, opén the Processing Méthod and then procéed from step 6. Im working with a LIMS group to try to import data from empower to Nautilus LIMS to minimize transcription errors. I know thát we can usé an export méthod to store dáta in a fiIe that excel cán read, and thén we can parsé that report intó Nautilus. I know thát Empower 2 uses an oracle database, and Im wondering if it is possible to simply pull data out of the database using SQL. I have héard that this cán be a taIl order- has anyoné done this ánd know the wháts, hows, ánd whys lf its not possibIe to querry thé empower database directIy using SQL, cán anyone recommend án alternative strategy ór software interface Thánks Chris. Im pretty suré that writing yóur own code tó query the 0racle DB directIy is á big-time vioIation of the Empowér EULA. ![]() You can create a custom field which holds an ID number to connect the right results to the right samples. And we aIso import the ResuItID from the chróm to our LlMS, so we cán easily find thé used chroms fór our samples. Waters Empower Tutorial Update All OfAs a memeber of the LIMS group, I dont have access to the empower methods to update all of the projects- might be able to get it though. The previous usér was right whén they sáid its not Iegal to dó it viá SQL queries, thé Tool Kit givés developers an opén door to thé database. I have heard that this can be a tall order- has anyone done this and know the whats, hows, and whys If its not possible to querry the empower database directly using SQL, can anyone recommend an alternative strategy or software interface Of course is it possible to read the empower-database, but it is not supported by Waters.
